The 534D Sensor is a tri-axial vector magnetometer system with a high-speed digital interface
that can
transmit XYZ magnetic field values at up to 140 times a
second. The Sensor is packaged
in a
rectangular/parallelpiped package of dimensions 0.75" x 0.75" x
2.75".
The package corners are rounded to enable the unit to fit
inside a 1.0" diameter
cylinder.
The 534D
Sensor communicates with the outside world over
bi-directional RS232 and TTL
serial interfaces. An ASCII
character command language has been created to facilitate
communication with the 534D.
The 534D Sensor contains a microprocessor and a three channel 16-bit analog to digital
converter.
The system also contains a temperature
sensor.
An autosend data mode is included in the 534D
software. When this mode is active, data is automatically
sent out the serial port after power is applied to the system.
Connection
to the system is accomplished by means of five #26 gauge Teflon insulated wires with
a nominal length of 6".
